I’m not sure I agree with him, according to http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0763098.html Phoenix comes in at #6.  Putting it above San Antonio, San Diego, and Dallas.  Are you saying Dallas isn’t a true city? They’ll kick your butt if they ever hear you say that.

7:05 a.m. - Greg #40 When to post to your blog I think this is good advice that agents can take to work as well.  When to work: Early and late in the day on weekends, after hours on weekdays, and definitely holidays.  Less competition.

While there’s some truth to what he says, I think that this falls more under - one bad apple spoils the bunch-.  As with anything, you get a wide range of the spectrum, and the fact of the matter is that there are bad people out there, and where there’s an opportunity to screw someone and make a bunch of money doing it, 1 out 100 people will do it, and make the other 99 look bad.

6:00 a.m. - Greg #31 Greg ponders the naming of a business I have to say, for me, my first choice was “Boston Real Estate” but what do ya know, someone beat me to it.  The list went on as my top choices were already taken, we eventually did something akin to throwing a dart and ended up with Spotlight Realty.  It wasn’t my first choice, but in hindsight, I’m happy with it.  Now if I could only get my partner to stop doing the cheeseball thing with the name… i.e. “we will put the Spotlight on your home”  ughhh.  BTW- naming the business name.com …. Genious.

4:55 a.m. - Greg #26 Greg touches on the subject of variable rate commissions and brings up a good point concerning undisclosed dual agency. Now if the buyer has no representation, the listing agent would normally keep the whole commission. Now with the subject of undisclosed dual agency, does this decrease the listing agents incentive of say, advertising in the paper, to try to keep the whole commission?

4:47 a.m. - Greg #25 Real Estate Weblogging, where’s the time? “this is hard, not what I’m doing now…” LIAR!! What I’m doing now is hard, and I have the easy job!!!!

4:35 a.m. - Greg #23 The perils of pre- and post- possession This is one of those things that people would usually stick their noses up at. “Who cares if I move in early?” Yeah, it’s a small thing, but not when you get your court order from something that did go wrong. Also CONGRATS ON #400 GREG!!!!!!

4:30 a.m. - Ardell breaks into double digits with her thanks, Property Monger gets an honorable mention, but nothing doing Ardell!!! I’m in this for the long haul (I will have to take a few breaks between rounds to do some things that actually pay the bills though). And here’s the best part, it already is morning here. I got my sleep from 8:30 - 3:00.
